Centsu Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This privacy policy applies only to the Centsu iOS app, developed by Rust Saiargaliev. It does not cover this website or services provided by Apple or other file providers.
Data stored by Centsu
Centsu stores the financial information you enter or import: account names, currencies, credit limits, categories, transaction amounts, dates, descriptions, notes, payment states, and recurring schedules. Imported records may also include original source fields.
The app keeps a JSON ledger and recovery copies on your device. It also stores information needed to access and synchronize your selected file, such as its file reference, a previous synchronized ledger copy, and synchronization timestamps. This information supports tracking, balance calculations, synchronization, and recovery.
Data collection and sharing
The developer does not receive your ledger or financial records. Centsu has no app login, advertising, analytics SDK, or tracking. It does not connect to your bank, sell your data, or send your ledger to a developer-operated server.
Optional file synchronization and exports
You can select a ledger through the system document picker. Centsu keeps a local working copy and synchronizes the selected file while the app is active. If that file is in iCloud Drive or another cloud-backed file provider, its contents are handled by that provider under your account and sharing settings. Centsu does not give the developer access to that file.
Apple handles iCloud data under Apple's privacy policy. Other file providers have their own policies. Device backups, including iCloud Backup if enabled, may also contain local app data.
Exporting creates a JSON copy in the location you choose. Anyone with access to an exported or shared ledger can read its financial contents.
Data retention and deletion
You can edit or delete transactions in the app. Previous versions can remain in local recovery and synchronization copies. Routine recovery copies are limited automatically; copies retained for imports, conflicts, or recovery require manual cleanup through the Files app.
Deleting Centsu, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data from the device. It does not delete selected shared files, exports, copies on other devices, or device backups. Manage those copies separately in Files, your file provider, and your backup settings.
Security
Centsu relies on iOS device security and the protections of your selected file provider. Ledger and recovery files are readable JSON; Centsu does not add its own password protection or file encryption. Protect your device and cloud account, and share ledger files only with people you trust.
Support
If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives the information you choose to include and uses it to respond. Do not send your ledger, financial records, or screenshots containing sensitive information unless needed for your request. Remove private details first.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated if Centsu's data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is published.
